CBridge_4.0 copyright 1992, is a demo version of a game of Contract
Bridge for the Amiga Computer. When accompanied by CBridge_4.0.doc
is freely distributable. The demo plays for 15 minutes before resetting.
The bidding of this version has been simplified and made more accurate.
The strategy used is very similar to that commonly used by many players.
Computer implementations depend on accurate definitions for success.
The slam bidding strategy is now accurately and unambigiously defined.
No major changes to this bidding strategy are planned in the future.
An accurate description of the revised bidding is included in the menus.
As usual your comments and suggestions for future improvements are
welcome and will help guide future revisions.
A Replay capability permits replaying the last hand repeatedly. The
scoring and game continuity resume after replay(s) are completed.
This implementation as well as the continously playing version works on
all models of Amiga computers and all operating systems up to AmigaDos 2.04.
The game is also available for IBM and Macintosh computers.
This version 4.0 is very reliable and has included the most requested
improvements by the registered users. Additional suggestions
are always welcome and should be sent to:
